J. J. Seid shows, through the well-known story of Jesus calming the storm in Mark 4:35–41, that when storms hit, they tempt us all to believe at least three lies about God: (1) that God’s indifferent, (2) that prayer won’t make a difference, and (3) that, no matter how many times God’s rescued us in the past, this time’s different.
