Shaina’s parents divorced when she was very young, and she was afraid of her stepfather.  They went to church routinely, but she saw a pattern of presenting one image at church while it was a completely different story at home.  She had an encounter with Jesus in high school, but still struggled with deep depression and attempted to end her own life.
