people know what you were feeling?  Sometimes a leader must project

confidence in spite of their own misgivings.  Parents have to discipline

their children for doing what is wrong, even if it is a big challenge

to not burst into laughter at their antics.  On top of that, people have

presumptions about what kind of person you are, so they think they

already know your reactions.  God gets a reputation like that in some

circles.  For Him to judge the wicked and punish them, some think that

God must be heartless and cruel.  And when heartache and pain shows up

in the lives of those who are His, it is tempting to feel like God

doesn’t care.  But we see a unique glimpse into the heart of God through

Jesus.  One of His dear friends had died, and Jesus shows up on the

scene.  We’ll take a close look at the description of Jesus’ reactions

to more clearly understand His promise elsewhere that He will never

leave us or forsake us.
