A Christ-like love doesn’t shut you down in avoidance of being hurt again. It doesn’t push love away bc you don’t know how to be needed. No, no no no no no. Jesus’ love is: secure. It’s a love that holds you, frees you, opens you up to show up for someone else without being afraid you’ll lose yourself.
