What does true greatness look like in the kingdom of Jesus?

In Mark 10:35–45, James and John want seats of honor beside Jesus, but Jesus shows them that kingdom greatness does not look like status, control, recognition, or power. It looks like the cross.

Jesus does not simply tell us to serve. He gives his life as a ransom for many. That means cross-shaped greatness is not about trying harder to be humble. It begins with receiving the ransom of Christ and letting his self-giving love reshape our ambition, our influence, our leadership, and our witness.
