Sermon Notes - John 6:59-71 - Jesus: His True vs. False Disciples

Main Point: Who Jesus is and what he has done divides true disciples from false disciples.

-False disciples reject Jesus because of what he says (59-66)

  -They followed the crowds, not Jesus

  -They wanted what Jesus could do more than Jesus himself

  -They were unwilling to give up control of their lives to Jesus

  -They did not really believe in Jesus

-True disciples remain with Jesus because of who he is (67-71)

  -Jesus has the words of eternal life

  -Jesus is the Holy One of God
