This passage of Hebrews explains that Jesus was truly and fully human and refutes the idea that this would be shameful for God. The way Jesus suffered makes Him an entirely perfect substitute for humanity, allowing Him to comfort us with legitimate compassion (Hebrews 4:15) as One Who has experienced all of life’s struggles. The same struggles, hardships, and temptations that we face daily (Hebrews 2:18). Jesus can identify with our humanity in every way, except He never sinned.
