Jesus Invites Us Into Deeper Waters

📖 Luke 5:5–6

“Simon answered, ‘Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.’ When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.”

Simon was exhausted and discouraged. He had done everything he knew to do and still failed. But Jesus asked him to try again — this time in obedience to His word.

Simon’s willingness to trust Jesus, even when it didn’t make sense, led to a miracle. Jesus often calls us beyond our comfort zones, beyond our logic, beyond our limits, into deeper waters.

He uses our disappointments to reveal His power and awaken us to deeper purpose. The catch of fish wasn’t just provision — it was preparation for a calling.

💭 Reflection: Is there an area in your life where Jesus is asking you to trust Him again, even though you feel tired, discouraged or unsure?

🙏🏻 Prayer: Jesus, help me to trust You beyond my understanding. Give me the courage to obey, even when I feel weary or uncertain. I believe You are working in ways I cannot yet see. Amen.
