Jesus Is Coming Back. And That Changes Everything.
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
John 14:3.
Imagine someone saying to you, “I have to go for a while, but I’m going to get everything ready for you. Once it’s all set, I’m coming back to get you. Wherever I am, that’s where you’ll be too.” That’s not just anybody. That was Jesus. And when He says something, He means it.
This isn’t just a comforting phrase or a poetic promise. It’s the heartbeat of Heaven. It’s God telling you what He’s always wanted — to be with you forever.
Jesus didn’t give up on the world. He didn’t walk away from you. He went ahead to get everything ready. And one day soon, He’s coming back.
And don’t think of this as some far-off, “end of the world” thing that doesn’t matter right now. His promise is alive today. It gives you a reason to keep going. It brings light to dark places. It lifts your eyes when everything around you seems like it’s falling apart.
Jesus said He would come again to take us home. That means Heaven isn’t just some distant, quiet place in the clouds — Heaven is where He is. And He wants you there. Not because you’re perfect, but because you matter to Him.
In the meantime, we’re not just waiting. We’re living — with hearts anchored in hope and eyes fixed on eternity. We’re called to reflect His light in a dark world. Every act of love, every moment of kindness, every time we choose truth over comfort — it points people to Him.
And here’s the wild part: the Bible says we can actually hurry that day along. The way we live, the way we surrender, the way we shine — it all prepares the world to meet the King.
So don’t settle for just surviving. Don’t live like this world is all there is. Jesus is coming back. And that changes everything. It changes the way you live, the way you love, the way you dream. It changes your story.
It changes the ending.
