There is a difference between knowing the truth and loving the truth. Second Thessalonians 2 warns that those who perish do so not because truth was unavailable, but because they did not receive a love for it. For Seventh-day Adventists, the prophetic message rooted in Daniel and Revelation is not simply a set of doctrines. It is a God-given mission with a specific purpose in history. The 2,300-day prophecy of Daniel 8, the Great Disappointment of 1844, and the three angels' messages of Revelation 14 all point to a people called to restore truth and prepare the world for the return of Jesus. Stories like a 14-year-old Hutterite boy who began keeping the Sabbath after hearing the Bible on a small audio device, and a non-denominational pastor who walked away from his ministry after encountering the call to come out of Babylon, illustrate what happens when truth lands in a hungry heart. The question is not whether we hold the truth intellectually. The question is whether we love it enough to live it and share it without apology.
