Hebrews 12 calls believers to run the race of faith with perseverance, surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. We are urged to throw off everything that hinders and the sin that entangles, fixing our eyes on Jesus—the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, Jesus endured the cross and now sits at God’s right hand. By considering His endurance, we find strength not to grow weary or lose heart. The Christian life is a marathon, not a sprint, and our focus must remain on Christ as we press forward.
