Our lesson this morning focuses on the purpose of spiritual disciplines verses the abuses of them that not only miss the point of the practices, but moreover often contribute to spiritual mal-formation and which can become an idol in the heart of the religious person instead of being part of our transformation in knowing and doing the good, pleasing and perfect will of God.
