The book we commonly call 'Matthew' is really the Gospel According to Matthew, or, Matthew's perfectly accurate rendering of the gospel events from his unique perspective, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Each of the 4 authors had their own backgrounds and audience so the gospels vary. As we look at these 4 gospels together, we have everything that God wants us to know about Jesus in His Word.
