In Hebrews 1-2, we are reminded that Jesus is king, that he has the ultimate authority over all other voices in this life. The idea of authority may rub us the wrong way. However, Jesus is a good king who though he was God became man so that he could die the death that our sins demand so that we could have eternal life and be freed from being enslaved by our fear of death.
