Hebrews is a marvelous book in the new Testament, a beautiful sermon on the intent and purpose of the Old Testament ceremonial code.  God commanded what worship should look like in the Old Testament and with good reason.  Everything pointed forward to Jesus.  Now faced with the temptation to revert back to the Old Testament style of worship, the writer of this beautiful book warns of the danger of backsliding.  Jesus is better than Moses, than the High Priest, than the Sabbath Day.  His blood paid the full price of our sins.  His sacrifice was sufficient!!  Don’t slide away from Jesus!  He’s the best and the only Savior!!
