Paul is rejoicing as he is in prison, that by the preaching of the Gospel he has been counted worthy to identify with Christ in suffering. As a minister of Christ he counts himself (and us) as mere stewards of the gifts, talents and lives that we have been given by God - responsible to God for ministering on His behalf. We, like Paul, tirelessly share and teach everyone about the mystery of the Gospel message so that they may grow.
