It’s understandable that the disciples didn’t understand. But we have proof: the cross. Jesus is the (only) way, truth and life. Know God, know Jesus. There is no other way. The exclusivity of this I AM statement is difficult to embrace for many, even for some Christians – even for some of us. Yet it is still held out for all to receive.
