One of the enemy's greatest lies is that going to church makes you a Christian. Nicodemus was a religious elite who was intrigued by Jesus and His miracles. Nicodemus was born into the right family, given the right education, and made a religious leader. Jesus made it very clear to Him that none of those things could get him into heaven.
