JESUS LORD TEACH US TO PRAY Season 3 Ep # 1
We are truly thankful that the Lord our God has given us another day to pray.
Lord, teach us to pray.
As John taught his disciples to pray.
How then?
Should we today now pray?
According to the scriptures, there was a time when the believers were encouraged to walk wisely, to be filled with the Spirit, and to know what was, the will of the Lord, during their day and time, as they were on this earth.
And this was because of the days and the times that they were living in, according to the scriptures. The days were evil.
What is written in this letter, Ephesians chapter 5, verse 15 through 21.
By way of inference, objectively, there seems to be an admonition and an encouragement to the beloved blessed brothers and sisters on what to do, to know the will of the Lord, and to be filled with the spirit, and to walk wisely, because of the times that they were living in.
Ephesians chapter 5, beginning in verse 15. It is written, look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise.
Making the best of the times, because the days are evil.
Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is, in light of what we are seeing and hearing now.
And what we are experiencing in this world, as we know it today, in our time and days.
Are we living in similar times, as believers, should we take into account these days and the times that we are living in?
Is there an eminent urgency? Friends.
May this be our call to praise and prayer, thanksgiving and worship to the Lord our God.
Ephesians chapter 5 verse 18 through verse 21.
And do not get drunk with wine, for this is the debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another, in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing, and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always, and for everything to God the Father. in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another, out of reverence for Christ.
Friends,
as we gather in his name, in our day to day, in these times, how should we now then pray?
This was the question that the disciples asked Jesus, when he was on this earth,
Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples to pray.
To be sure, we know that Jesus is not on this earth physically today, that we may go and find him praying somewhere, that we may ask him, Lord, would you teach us to pray the way You taught your disciples to pray?
Friends,
the good and great news, however. According to the scriptures, though Jesus may not be physically available here on this earth, and the world as we know it today.
That we may go in person to him.
And ask him, Lord, teach us to pray. However,
that Luke has written what Jesus taught his disciples to pray, and how to pray.
Should we pray what Jesus told them
