Bartimaeus was a nobody. A blind beggar. But Jesus passed by, heard him cry out, and stopped. Jesus saw him, called him, loved him and healed him. The world, and even the disciples, often desire to be seen by others, but Bartimaeus simply wanted to see and be seen by Jesus.
