Jesus Made Enemies Friends

Listen Later

Luke 23:1-12

We can see that when Jesus spoke to Pilate, he confirmed that he was the King of the Jews, but he didn't say it outright, as he did when the Sanhedrin questioned Him. Jesus knew they were envious of Him, so He did confirm with a "Yes, I am" (chapter 22:70). Jesus knew they would unjustly judge Him. Nevertheless, it had to be done for Him to resurrect from the grave and provide us with reconciliation with the Father.

With little effort, Jesus brought Pilate and Herod together, as Pilate acknowledged Herod's power or role in the Galilean region. Similarly, Jesus reconciles us to the Father and restores our relationship with Him. Jesus is the friend of sinners, reconciling us to the Father and enabling us to connect to Him through the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us once we accept Him as our savior.
Let Jesus guide you in restoring your relationship with the Father and with your earthly enemies today. By following His command to pray for them and love them, you can actively participate in the process of reconciliation. This empowerment and responsibility are part of the transformative power of Jesus's teachings.
