The Reasons for Subjection

- I am a creature made by God (v1).

- God has instituted every earthly authority (vv 1,6).

- Resistance incurs judgment and wrath (vv 2b-5).

- Owe no one anything but love (vv7-8).

The Way of Subjection

- Biblical subjection does not mean universal, absolute

obedience (Acts 5:29).

- If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably

with all (12:18).

- Peaceful, respectful, acceptance of consequences for

choices (v 7).

The Power to Subject
