Jesus Prayed From Hades to be back in the presence of God- Jonah 2- The Story of Our Great Redemption #32
Just like Jonah prayed to be delivered from the hell he was into, Jesus prayed for the Father to deliver Him from hades. As Jonah prayed to be delivered from the deepest pit, so Jesus prayed for deliverance from hell. Jonah chapter 2 continues to unfold this mighty truth that is getting ready to explode on the scene.
For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish for three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. (Matthew 12:40 NET)
That was the sign that Jesus gave to this evil generation, but unfortunately, few preachers preach about it. How will hear without a preacher? (Romans 10:14-17)
An evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. (Matthew 12:39 NET)
That is the sign that must be preached to this evil and adulterous generation so they will repent and believe in Him that was raised from the dead, both spiritually and physically.
