John 17 is remarkable in many ways because we see what was on Jesus’s heart for His disciples shortly before He faced His death. This Sunday we’ll look at just one of the requests Jesus made in this prayer—Jesus prayed that we would be one. Several times in this prayer He prayed about our unity as believers. It’s no doubt that unity is of utmost importance to Him. It’s vitally important to our witness! As you read John 17 and Philippians 2:1-8, think about what unity in our body looks like.
