The primary reason that Jesus came to this earth was to rescue us from our

sins. Yes, He was the greatest teacher of all time, and yes he healed many

that were sick, but the reason He came was because humanity was hopelessly

lost in sin and condemned to die and to go hell. Jesus lived a perfect life

and then went to a cross to die in our place, as our substitute. He took

our sins upon Himself so that He could make us righteous. The Pharisees did

not see that they were lost, but he left the 99 to save the one lost sheep.

Jesus will also rescue Christians from whatever their problem is, whether

it be depression, fear, worry, anger or even idolatry. Just cry out to

Jesus and He will save, or rescue you.
