Saul of Tarsus has an encounter with the resurrected Jesus on the road to Damascus; an encounter that changed his life. Saul had studied, grown up steeped in Jewish custom, tradition, and knowledge of the scripture, but had missed that it all pointed to Jesus. He missed this point because information doesn't transform hearts, encounters with Jesus do. We believe because Jesus has revealed himself to us.
