Profound impact. NLT “…let me teach you…”We are invited to “come to Jesus”. We look at this as an invitation to be saved; to change our eternal destiny; to go to heaven and not to hell. It is an invitation sure enough. To see it as an invitation to things after this present earthly existence only is to miss the point altogether. We are being invited to “rest”. We are being invited to an “easy yoke” and a “light burden”. We are being invited into the life Jesus died for us to live. A present reality where we live with a quiet confidence that everything is going to be ultimately for our good. A life where we know confidently that nothing can remove us from the loving care of our Savior. We are under the shadow of the Almighty and that is the best place to be on earth. We are being invited to live for and with Jesus.
