Jesus Sees Us with Eyes of Grace
Ptr. Gerbert Reyes (PE)
š Luke 5:8
āWhen Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesusā knees and said, āGo away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!āā
Simonās response to the miracle wasnāt prideāit was humility. He saw Jesusā holiness and felt his own unworthiness. But Jesus didnāt reject him. He called him.
Jesus doesnāt wait for us to be perfect. He calls us as we are ā flawed, broken, ordinary. He sees beyond our past and invites us into a future filled with purpose.
Simon was a fisherman, but Jesus saw a disciple. Jesus used language Simon understood ā āfishing for peopleāā to invite him into a mission that would change lives.
š Reflection: What part of your life makes you feel unworthy of Godās calling? Can you trust that Jesus sees more in you than you see in yourself?
šš» Prayer: Lord, thank You for calling me as I am. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and trust that You have a purpose for my life, even when I feel unworthy. Amen. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
