Before we get into how husband and wife relate, let's take some time and define some terms. What does the scripture mean when it speaks of being "subject" or being a "helper"?

The Christian life is not a lists of Do Nots. It is a life empowered to interact with the world with God's love mercy and grace, If we focus on doing the good we can do, the things we shouldn't do will become much less of a problem.

It is possible for the Lord to turn on lights, stir our hearts, call our names and we still have to make a choice to open our eyes to Him.

We are called to be Light in the world. And then it goes on to describe what that looks like. The formula is easy to understand and available to all. Be Light.

Somehow didn't mention the verse in Romans 12. But it summarizes beautifully the thought in these verses, We must allow the Lord to examine to make sure we are not drawn away from the Lord and corrupted by the world.

God only requires us to surrender to His love. In that love we find mercy and grace for those around us.

The Holy Spirit is not just a power source but a personality. We can please or grieve Him through our lives. We should try to grow in our relationship with Him.

We need to be more careful with our words. We need to be responsible to speak appropriate, need-meeting, grace filled words.

It seems like a simple thing to say, "Steal no longer" until you take an honest look at yourself. Most everyone finds justification for theft on some level. In addition, all of us rob God of what we owe Him. And that is a lot.
