Matthew 27:22-23. In this series we’ve looked at how Jesus the Christ was promised, how he was presented to the world as the Christ, how he was revealed by the testimony of witnesses to be the Christ, and this morning we’ll conclude this series by looking at how Jesus was received by people as the Christ. Jesus was rejected by many, but he was also received by many. Those who rejected him sent him to the cross like a criminal, but the cross was the very reason he came and the reason we receive him.
