What do you do when you’ve prayed, applied what you know, done what worked before—and nothing moves?
In Mark 9, the disciples found themselves asking Jesus a vulnerable question: “Why couldn’t we?” His answer brings us back to a truth we can easily forget: yesterday’s experience can never replace today’s dependence.
It’s possible to become so competent at doing something for God that we slowly stop depending on God while we do it. Oswald Chambers went so far as to warn, “We slander God by our very eagerness to work for Him without knowing Him.”
In this Jesus Timeout, we’re talking about the difference between competence and communion, why prayer brings us back to the Source, what happens when God allows us to encounter something our experience cannot solve, and how to face reality without allowing it to become greater than Christ.
Maybe the answer isn’t more effort.
Maybe Jesus is calling you closer.
If you’re ready to go beyond inspiration and continue doing the deeper formation work, I’d love to invite you into Courage Co.®
Courage Co. is our ongoing Spirit-led formation community where we’re building the spiritual, mental, emotional, and leadership capacity to faithfully carry what God has entrusted to us.
This is where we don’t just hear truth—we practice it, integrate it, and allow God to form us through it.
If you’re ready to keep growing into the person and leader God is calling you to become, come join us inside Courage Co.

Peace is a promise, but it’s also something Scripture tells us to pursue.
In 1 Peter 3:10–12, we’re told to turn away from evil, do good, seek peace, and pursue it. That means a peaceful life isn’t necessarily the automatic result of loving God. There are choices, boundaries, habits, relationships, thoughts, and patterns we may have to address if we want to actually live in the peace Jesus makes available to us.
In this Jesus Timeout, Juliana explores what it means to actively pursue peace with God rather than continually participating in the very things that disturb it.
Sometimes pursuing peace means changing what you entertain. Sometimes it means having the conversation. Sometimes it means setting the boundary. Sometimes it means walking away from unnecessary conflict, refusing to rehearse an offense, or becoming more intentional about what gets access to your internal world.
Peace isn’t passivity. And pursuing peace doesn’t mean avoiding everything difficult.
It means learning how to remain anchored in God while becoming responsible for what you allow to continually disrupt the life He is forming in you.
If your life has felt noisy, heavy, relationally complicated, or internally unsettled, this is your invitation to ask:
What would it look like for me to actually pursue peace?
If you know you need ongoing support to keep growing in your faith, capacity, discernment, and leadership, come join us inside Courage Co. This is where we practice this. We’re not just collecting more information about God—we’re becoming people who can actually carry what He’s giving us without losing our peace, our purity, our relationships, or our intimacy with Him.
The quickest way to lose your peace is to become overly conscious of yourself—how you’re doing, how you’re being perceived, what you’re getting wrong, what you need to fix, and whether you’re enough.
Jesus offers us another way.
“Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Rest begins when we stop making ourselves the starting point and turn our attention back to Him. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” we can ask, “Who is God, what is true about Him, and who am I because I belong to Him?”
Scripture tells us, “As He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). That means our identity was never meant to be discovered through endless self-analysis. We understand ourselves rightly by first beholding Him.
In this Jesus Timeout, we’re moving from self-consciousness to God-consciousness—from striving, self-monitoring, comparison, and internal pressure into the rest that comes from making Jesus our reference point again.
When you’re unsettled, don’t start with yourself. Start with God.
Come back to who He is.
And let Him remind you who you are.

Transformation is not found in rushing from one thing to the next. It happens when we slow down long enough to reflect with God. In this Jesus Timeout, Juliana shares why intentional reflection is essential to spiritual formation—and how paying attention to what God is revealing, healing, and inviting you into helps you become more grounded, mature, and led by Him.

Life will give you opportunities to be offended. People may disappoint you, wound you, misunderstand you, or fail to give you what they should have. You are not responsible for everything that happens to your heart—but you are responsible for stewarding what happens in it.
In this Jesus Timeout, Juliana teaches from Hebrews 12:15: the invitation to watch carefully so that we do not fall short of the grace of God or allow a root of bitterness to grow and create trouble. Bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, and offense are not harmless reactions. When left unchecked, they can become a place of agreement and a stronghold the enemy uses to distort our peace, relationships, discernment, and future.
A pure heart does not mean pretending pain did not happen. It means bringing that pain to Jesus, refusing to rehearse offense, releasing what you cannot carry, and keeping your inner life guarded in grace. You are the bishop—the overseer and guard—of your own heart. Let the Holy Spirit help you keep it tender, clean, and free.

What if the weight you are carrying is not proof that God is overwhelming you—but evidence that He is expanding you?
In this Jesus Timeout, Juliana Page teaches on spiritual maturity, capacity, and the progression of your mantle. God does not increase your responsibility simply to exhaust you. He matures your character, sharpens your abilities, strengthens your inner life, and enlarges your capacity until what once overwhelmed you becomes something you can carry with wisdom, peace, and grace.
Your abilities are not accidental. They can reveal the mantle God is developing on your life. As you steward what is in your hands, God prepares you for greater influence, greater responsibility, and greater impact.
You are not behind. You are in process. Let God grow your capacity for what He has called you to carry.
If you are ready to stop letting fear, comparison, insecurity, hesitation, and inconsistency negotiate with your calling, join the free OWN IT™ Challenge.
This is your invitation to own what God put in you, move with greater clarity and courage, and take the next faithful step toward the life and leadership you were created for.

How do you evaluate a leader or ministry in a biblical way?
In a culture of online call-outs, quick conclusions, spiritual manipulation, and blind loyalty, we need mature discernment. Scripture calls us to test what we hear, judge rightly, and pay attention to fruit—but it also calls us to humility, mercy, honor, and love.
In this teaching, Juliana shares how to discern healthy leadership without becoming critical, naïve, cynical, or dishonoring. You’ll learn what to look for over time, how to test both message and fruit, why character matters as much as gifting, and how to stay rooted in truth when questions arise around a leader or ministry.
This is not about becoming a better critic. It is about becoming a more mature believer—one who can recognize what is healthy, respond wisely to what is harmful, and remain anchored in Jesus.

What if the wisdom you need is not just for today’s problem—but for the life, responsibility, and opportunities God is preparing you to carry next?
In this Jesus Timeout, Juliana shares a simple invitation from Scripture: ask God for wisdom. Not merely more information, stronger feelings, or a quick answer, but Heaven’s perspective for the decisions, relationships, timing, conversations, and next steps in front of you.
If you have been feeling pressure to figure everything out, this episode will help you pause, return to God’s presence, and ask for the wisdom that brings clarity without panic. Together, we will reflect on James 1:5, Proverbs 2:6, Proverbs 4:7, and Joshua 1:8—and pray for wisdom that protects your peace, strengthens your discernment, and prepares you for what is ahead.

Transition can feel disorienting. Something within you is shifting, even when nothing around you has visibly changed. What once fit no longer feels aligned. Familiar relationships, rhythms, methods, and structures may begin losing their grace. You know you cannot remain where you were, but you may not yet have clarity about where you are going.
In this Jesus Time Out, Juliana shares five truths that will help you discern what God may be doing in seasons of transition.
You’ll discover:
• Why a God-led pivot can temporarily leave you feeling unbalanced
Sometimes God removes the familiar so you can discover Him beyond the familiar.
You are not necessarily lost. You are not failing. And you are not falling apart.
You may simply be in the sacred space between what God has finished and what He is preparing to reveal.
If God is asking you to release a relationship, role, rhythm, or version of yourself that no longer belongs in your next season, I want to invite you into Courage Co.
Inside Courage Co., you can access my Holy Detachment masterclass, where I teach you how to recognize unhealthy emotional entanglement, release what you were never assigned to carry, and move forward without bitterness, guilt, or losing your capacity to love.
You do not have to preserve what God has finished just because it was once meaningful.
Visit courageco.org to join us and learn how to release the familiar while remaining anchored in God.
Are you overwhelmed because you are carrying your responsibilities—or because you have absorbed everyone else’s?
In this Jesus Time Out, Juliana explores the tension between Galatians 6:2 and Galatians 6:5, the difference between compassionate support and misplaced responsibility, and why holy detachment can restore your peace, attention, and capacity.
Stay through the guided reflection to separate what belongs to you, what belongs to others, and what belongs only to God.
If this episode helped you recognize that you have been carrying more than God assigned you, I want to invite you into Courage Co.
Courage Co. is a Spirit-led formation community for visionary women who are ready to understand what God is forming in them, develop the capacity to respond with wisdom, and become unshakable in who He created them to be.
