Jesus was a Medium: Spirituality and Christianity with Medium Daniel John
Today you’ll be hearing from Daniel John, a spiritual medium and follower of Jesus. Daniel connected with his mediumship abilities in 2017 and, like many of you, went through a period of questioning these abilities and this spiritual world and if it could even coexist with what he had been taught by the church his whole life.
After scouring the Bible, reading all translations, reading both gospels in the Bible and the ones that were left out, and most importantly praying and connecting with Jesus and the Holy spirit through these times, he’s been able to reconcile and not only find peace in these gifts alongside his faith, but GIVE peace and restore faith to others as a medium of God.
Daniel and I were connected through a mutual friend, shoutout Mary Grace!, and it was a match made in heaven. Over and over again he stated beliefs that I repeat constantly when asked about my own relationship with Jesus and spirituality and he breaks down how spirituality and the teachings of Jesus coexist seamlessly.
Now, I know there might be a handful of you listening to this intro getting ready to tune out and stop playing because the thought of someone being a follower of Jesus and a spiritual medium has been taught to you as something that CERTAINLY cannot exist and is clearly demonic. But, I encourage you to try to listen with an open heart and mind; after all, progress and empathy and compassion cannot be cultivated if we close ourselves off to those who live differently from us and especially not when we choose to continuously put God into a “box”.
Many of what Daniel speaks about I align with wholeheartedly, some things I still need to discover or research for myself. You’ll likely find yourself in the same boat. But when it comes to this cognitive dissonance, pray about it. We as Christians should have some foundational beliefs in common, but we are all convicted in different ways as we all are on different God-given journeys. What the Holy Spirit restricts for you might be open and encouraged for me. Rely on the discernment that was given to you.
