Who is Jesus the Christ? John's gospel was written to answer this question. His entire thesis is summarized in the first 18 verses known as his prologue. In these verse he sets forth the relation of Jesus to God, to deity, to time, to creation and to mankind. In the first three verses he declares that Jesus is the logos or Word of God and is Eternal.
