Awful - Sad - Depressing - FILTHY language - just skip it
First of all this is terrible if you are judging it according to the language. I would have given up and quit reading way before it ended, but I kept thinking it was going to have some redeeming quality to it since it was basically about a daughter caring for her dad who may or may not have had dementia. It never did.
I think Dad really DID have dementia with moments of clarity (as happens with almost all such patients), but his seemed to come and go a little too conveniently for me. However, you will have to see for yourself how hard the daughter tried to get a little love flowing within the family.
Besides the highly offensive language, the story was very difficult to follow in the beginning. I had to start over and try to figure out who the characters were because I could not make sense of anything after reading the first few pages. Turns out I had correctly identified everyone. The problem is that everyone is called more than one name / nickname so it is confusing. (Also considering the things he says to his daughter makes it hard for you to really believe that she is his daughter.)
Anyway, as I said, there was nothing redeeming about this. The language was filthy; the story SEEMS to moving in a positive direction; and then - well, you will have to see for yourself what happens.
If you want my opinion, you should just read a different story. This would be a good one to BURN. Hey, not my idea: blame Jezebel. (As in - READ THE TITLE.)
