Dorothy Kilgallen was a prominent American journalist and television game show panelist, best known for her syndicated newspaper column and her regular appearances on the television game show "What's My Line?" Kilgallen was also recognized for her investigative journalism, especially her coverage of high-profile criminal and court cases. Her death on November 8, 1965, was officially ruled as caused by a combination of alcohol and barbiturate poisoning, deemed accidental. However, conspiracy theories quickly emerged, fueled by Kilgallen's involvement in controversial topics such as the Mafia and her critical views on the Warren Commission's report on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Kilgallen's extensive notes and manuscript for a forthcoming book that promised new revelations about the Kennedy assassination disappeared after her death, deepening the mystery and speculation around her untimely demise.
