J.I.D. was late to the rap game spending most of his early life on the East Side of Atlanta in Zone 6 where he was dreaming of picking off passes and going to the end zone for 6 in the NFL. After overcoming an injury and getting a scholarship to play college football, he started experimenting with rapping.
