पूर्वी काशीला गेल्याशिवाय मोक्ष मिळत नाही असं म्हणलं जायचं. आज काशीची जागा अमेरिकेनं घेतलीय! तिकडं डॉलरमध्ये कमाई केल्याशिवाय आयुष्याचं सोन होत नाही हे समीकरण आपल्या देशात पक्कं रूजलंय. त्यामुळं शब्दशः जीवावर उदार होऊन अमेरिकेत घुसखोरी करणाऱ्या भारतीयांचं प्रमाण चिंताजनकरित्या वाढतंय. आपला देश स्वातंत्र्याची पंचाहत्तरी साजरी करण्याच्या उंबरठ्यावर असताना, अमेरिकेच्या बॉर्डरवर वाळवंटात थिजून किंवा बर्फात गोठून मेलेल्या भारतीयांच्या या काही चित्तरकथा.
