Tim and Jill Savage have enjoyed a simpatico relationship with music for most of their lives. As teachers, the Canton residents devote endless hours encouraging the next generation to pursue opportunities in music. They channel their passion for playing into performances for the Orchestra of Northern New York and other community groups. On this podcast, Tim and Jill share the influence of music on their lives, and why performing arts enriches local communities. They also share how music can be a motivator to give back.

Tim and Jill’s daughter, Abby, performs at a HITS equestrian show. HITS is responsible for producing hunter/jumper horse events across the country.

Tim plays the saxophone at a Northbound band performance. The band has been together for more than 10 years, playing a variety of venues in Upstate New York.
Arts are very much part of the North Country’s heartbeat. Here is a full house enjoying a performance at the Edwards Opera House.
Tim and Jill play musical and leadership roles with the Orchestra of Northern New York, which is based in Potsdam. This is an ONNY performance, complemented by fireworks, during the Fourth of July concert and celebration at Thompson Park in Watertown.
