Jim McCann is the Founder of 1-800-Flowers, an e-commerce company that has long been on the cutting edge of business and technology. Jim was working as a social worker in New York City during the 1970's when he took a chance and bought a struggling flower shop. His flower shop grew into a chain, and soon, grew into the largest floral operation in the world. Jim credits his success to his careful attention to creating relationships. He is a true believer in the power of community and connection to create meaningful change in the world starting at the individual level. In 1998, Jim published Stop and Sell the Roses, a memoir recounting lessons he's learned in business and life. An ever-curious lifelong learner, Jim isn't satisfied when he learns something new until he's shared it forward. It was in that spirit that Jim recently launched a podcast, Celebrations Chatter, to navigate expression and relationships by sharing ideas, insights, and interesting points of view.
