Christopher Layton, also known as "Whipper", is an American drummer who rose to fame as one of the founding members of Double Trouble, a blues-rock band led by Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Layton moved to Austin in 1975 and joined the band Greezy Wheels. He later joined Vaughan's band Double Trouble in 1978. After forming successful partnerships with bandmates Tommy Shannon and Reese Wynans, Double Trouble recorded and performed with Vaughan until his death in 1990. Layton and Shannon later formed supergroups such as the Arc Angels, Storyville, and Grady. Layton is the drummer for the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band.

Fred Melamed is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He is best known for portraying Sy Ableman in A Serious Man (2009), Sam Sotto in In a World… (2013), Bruce Ben-Bacharach in Lady Dynamite (2016–2017) and for appearing in seven films directed by Woody Allen.

For his performance in A Serious Man, Melamed, along with the Coen Brothers, and the film’s Ensemble and Casting Directors won Film Independent’s Independent Spirit Robert Altman Award. New York magazine listed Melamed’s work as among the Best Performances of the Decade, and Empire called Sy Ableman “One of The Best Coen Bros. Characters of All Time”. Several leading U.S. critics, including A. O. Scott of The New York Times, Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune, and Roger Ebert all said his performance was worthy of an Academy Award nomination.

The Daytripper is a Texas travel program, hosted by Chet Garner as he travels the state with his crew.  Synopsis: "It’s no secret that Texas is big. Alright, more than big. Texas is HUGE!! And exploring Texas ain’t no small vacation, it’s a lifetime endeavor. But what if you only have one day? Well, that’s where we come in. From the well-known landmarks to the completely obscure dives and hideaways – and all within a day’s reach. Adventure is much closer than you realize. 

The series first aired on Austin's PBS station, KLRU, and was titled "The Austin Daytripper." However, the concept expanded and the show condensed its name to "The Daytripper" to have a wider appeal. The show is now produced by Hogaboom Road, Inc., a production company located in downtown Georgetown, TX that specializes in creating Texas content.

The Daytripper has aired 12 seasons. Episodes are broadcast on PBS affiliate stations in Texas and many other states around the country. They are also available for viewing online.

Quita Culpepper is an anchor at KVUE in Austin, Texas. Quita is one of Austin’s most celebrated and trusted TV journalists. Since moving to Austin at the age of 13, the city has become her home; sharing the stories of the community has become one of her biggest passions. Quita earned her first television job in Austin, and during her time on the air she’s been honored with numerous awards and accolades. She first landed on the Austin Chronicle’s “Best of Austin” list in 1999, when she was named “Best TV Reporter.” She’s been on the list nine times since then and in 2015, Austin Way Magazine named her one of its “8 Influential Austin Women.”With more than 15 years of experience, Quita has met everyone from the President of the United States to the man who works behind the counter at her favorite restaurant. She’s even made a few appearances on the silver screen in the movies, "Bernie," "The Quiet," and "Booth."

Quita said there’s never been a dull moment in her time as a journalist. She feels fortunate to work with such a great group of people every day at KVUE. When she’s not behind the desk or chasing a story; Quita enjoys live music, spending time with her family, comic books, breakfast tacos and a good game of laser tag.
