Up to 200,000 people could descend on Disneyland for opening day of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Summer 2019. This could overwhelm the Anaheim theme park with 10-hour lines, swamping parking and traffic in the area.
That’s the astonishing prediction from theme park experts. They expect Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to be one of the biggest grand openings in industry history.
Bill Zanetti is an Orlando, Florida university teacher who studies theme park design, operations and management. He expects 200,000 people to line up to be the first inside the new themed land.
“The number is based on what I believe is the actual interest,” said Zanetti, who teaches theme park courses at the University of Central Florida. “That’s just how many people I expect to descend on the resort on the first opening day.”

“Number one, J.J.’s doing the Lord’s work, man. This movie looks fantastic. It’s a year away, but man it looks fantastic. I wept on set because I saw somebody give a career-best performance. Somebody I’ve seen in these movies before. I rolled a tear, it was so darn powerful. Biggest set I’ve ever seen in my life. The dude’s not directing a movie, it’s like he’s directing a small country. The thing is so massive.”

Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator is a sim/video game available on Steam, where you can create massive armies, place them in a specific location, and then watch the randomness of an epic showdown take place.
This particular 24-minute long video, posted by YouTube user SergiuHellDragoonHQ on Dec. 5, shows what can happen in the Epic Battle Simulator by pitting the Star Wars warriors against the most dangerous dinosaurs in history.
