So much hype, excitement, and featuring one of the greatest misdirects in movie history that never seems to be talked about. The trailers led us to believe that Finn would become a Jedi, as he was shown dueling Kylo Ren, but when we saw the actual movie- turns out it's Rey who will take the throne! Listening back to this, I don't think anything became of the Half-Life and or Portal projects, at least not with Abrams. I was blown away by his Star Trek Into Darkness movie, so I was thrilled when I heard he was tackling Star Wars.

I'd still love to see Abrams' version of The Last Jedi. Thankfully and surprisingly- lens flares weren't an issue during battles and duels. I'm glad he abandoned the shaky-cam style of filmmaking after the first Star Trek (2009) installment.
