JoAnn Fields has been a vocal leader in the new movement to stop hate and violence toward Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. But she's also been a longtime advocate in San Diego County, fighting for better recognition and representation of Filipinos and all communities of color, especially in the South Bay.
