João de Lucca is a Brazilian Olympian who competed for his native country at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic games. João attended Louisville and quickly found a bond with coach Arthur Albiero. Along with winning numerous accolades in the Big East Conference, João is also a 2x NCAA Champion in the 200 Freestyle. After retiring from the sport in 2019, João has stayed close to the sport becoming the Head Coach of Cardinal Aquatics in Louisville.
