Jocelyn Arndt - Episode 196

Listen Later

At a concert for Canajoharie's Music on Main Street, Dave Michaels of WEXT heard Jocelyn's powerful voice (she was then 13) and said he'd play them on the air if they ever did any originals.  So, they wrote some songs.  A little while later, at a parade in Springfield Center, the kids were again noticed, this time by an insurance promoter who commissioned them to write a jingle for a national insurance campaign.  With this money (and some from a follow up jingle) their band, "The Dependents" produced their critically acclaimed album, "Dry Cereal". Christian has applications out and has been solicited by some great schools as well. In the next few months things should sort themselves out for him. In the mean time the siblings continue to write and have completed vocals for their first album (and part of a second) for Bridge Road Entertainment, the performance arm of White Lake Music and Post. The goal of these young musicians is to bring their music to a national level. Judging by songs like "Nevermind" and "Two Left Feet", they might just make it.
