In the summer of 1955, Jocelyn Hickenlooper was ready to celebrate her 23rd birthday. Just the day before, she was seen walking away from her home with two unknown people. Her body would be discovered in Parley's Canyon 16 days later. A developmentally delayed acquaintance of hers was questioned by detectives until he confessed. Although there was no evidence linking this man to her murder, he was confined to The State Hospital for the Insane.  Shortly after, Jocelyn's case was closed and her real killer has never been identified.  https://www.newspapers.com/image/456177920/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooper https://www.newspapers.com/image/468105257/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooper https://www.newspapers.com/image/468105374/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooperhhttps://www.newspapers.com/image/468105802/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooper https://www.newspapers.com/image/456177920/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooper https://www.newspapers.com/image/597348183/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooper https://www.newspapers.com/image/597348183/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooper https://www.newspapers.com/image/598639775 https://www.newspapers.com/image/598703402 https://www.newspapers.com/image/470743408/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooper https://www.newspapers.com/image/470743408/?terms=jocelyn%2Bhickenlooper https://www.nytimes.com/1990/05/08/us/man-who-was-judged-insane-is-held-in-attempted-break-in.html https://imgur.com/gallery/yaIGnbR
