A Note on This Case

Luke Mitchell was convicted of Jodi’s murder in 2005 and remains in prison. His conviction

has been the subject of an ongoing innocence campaign, appeals, and public debate. In line

with our editorial standards, we present the Crown case, the defence position, and post-

conviction developments factually and separately, and we do not present contested claims

as settled fact. Sub judice considerations are noted where relevant to any live appeal

activity.
