On Valentine's Day 2007, Jodine Serrin's mother and father walked into the bedroom of her California condo and interrupted what they thought was a romantic moment between her and a man. Without realizing it, they had just witnessed a horrific crime. The man escaped. More than a decade passed before a new DNA technique would lead to a break in the case. But would the suspect ever be brought to justice?

Cindy James was a recently divorced woman living in a suburb of Vancouver when she became the victim of harassing notes and phone calls. Police began to doubt Cindy, even after she was physically attacked several times. Was Cindy dealing with a split personality as the police suspect, or was she an innocent victim of someone who was trying to scare her to death?
