I know we promised that February was dedicated to frame building, but this episode is too good to shelf until March. We welcome philosophy professor, world bike adventurer, bikepacking.com editor and all-around great guy, Joe Cruz to the podcast! When he's not teaching at Williams College, he's traveling the world on his bike or scheming the next bikepacking route. We're not sure when Joe actually sleeps. If you're unfamiliar with Joe's bikepacking resume here is a brief  - but not inclusive - list: Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Tasmania, Pakistan, Nepal, Columbia & South Africa. Joe talks about how the ride is always fantastic, but the lasting memories from his trips are the relationships he makes with the people he meets and experiencing different cultures. Other topics mentioned in the episode are Search and State cycling clothing and the Search Brigade, being inspired by Lael Wilcox and John Steinbeck, support received from his current sponsors Seven Cycles and Revelate Designs. Joe will be leading a bikepacking talk at Earl's Cyclery & Fitness in South Burlington later this month. You are probably already following him online, but if not go to his website to see the latest photos and blog posts, or give him a follow on Instagram @joecruzpedaling. Okay, okay, we get it, you are still upset about missing out on a frame building episode, so we'll post a make up episode in early March. How's that for compromise?
