Joe Finfera was born on September 20, 1968 in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from the University of Baltimore in 1991. His career started in the fitness industry where he competed in bodybuilding. After winning the AAU Mr. Maryland Novice short division in 1993, he began a career in fitness modeling by posing for the cover of The Landmark Calendar "Image Is" in 1993. Joe Finfera went on to appear in numerous fitness magazines & posters including Men's Workout and Men's Exercise. He also appeared in the fitness book The Complete Book of Abs which sold in Barnes & Noble all across America for over 20 years. He continued fitness modeling until 2006 appearing in the "Man & Machine Calendar".
